Winner of the Concurso de Interpretación Cidade de Vigo before moving to Barcelona. Between 1990 and 2007 I earned my living mainly as a guitarist, as a soloist and chamber musician, based in Barcelona and Buenos Aires and performing in Europe and Latin America. Founding of Dúo Gótico, Trío Gótico and Barcelona Guitar Ensemble. Editorial and technical work was occasional during this period, including the digital services company BCN Barcelona with Fernando Prats.

Library and magazine in Galicia

Work in the archive and library of the Agrupación Guitarrística Galega and on its printed magazine GVL, guitarra, vihuela, laude : voceiro da Agrupación Guitarrística Galega, in Vigo. Antonio Uxío Mallo, my teacher and mentor, founded both the Agrupación and the magazine, which had subscribers on all five continents.

Through the magazine, we received scores from major publishers. I catalogued them and studied the repertoire on the guitar, while building an extensive personal collection of scores. This experience nurtured my interest in music libraries and meant that I arrived in Barcelona with a broad knowledge of the guitar repertoire. View the GVL catalogue record at the CDAEM Library.
